Provost Marshal's Office  April 29th 1868 -  Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America
Nashville, Tenn  George F. Thompson and Wife  of Davision County have taken the Oath to the
Government and filed Bond on this Day. This is something all Confederate Soldiers had to do.
This is a bit of history that any historian must have. It is a reare thing  o see . It comes Framed
in a 8 x 11 Wood Frame matted with a reprint of a CVD of George f. Thompson in his Confederate
Uniform and a reprint copy of his Oath of Allegiance to the United States of Govern
ment.
